Isaac Fleming

Isaac is a 15 year old talented young cyclist with a super-charged ambition to become a professional road cyclist. If motivation and commitment are relative to achieving success, then Isaac will most certainly be living his dream in the not-so-distant future.

Isaac lives in Atherton and is the oldest of 5 children and has two wonderful parents who have clearly raised Isaac to be a respectful and kind young man.

Isaac’s cycling journey started on a mountain bike at the age of 13. After 2 years road cycling piqued Isaac’s interest and he began road racing competitively, having since achieved some great results. The local road racing scene lacks depth in the junior racing categories, meaning Isaac has to race in the men’s A Grade Category. However he rises to the challenge every time, producing some very respectable results. In doing so, Isaac has earned the respect of many of the older and much more experienced riders and been rewarded for his hard work and fantastic attitude with sponsorship by Pump n Pedals, Cairns.

Why The Bear Foreman Foundation supports Isaac

Isaac first came to the attention of the Foundation committee at social ride of the RRR Mountain Bike Course in 2014 as a young man with a sense of maturity and consideration well beyond his 14 years.. Given the opportunity to do a “reccie” of a race course that he would go on to win his category & come 8th in overall,  the whippet-fast young gun instead chose to open and close every gate and wait for every rider to come through before closing the gate, then speeding ahead to open the next one. At the completion of the ride, this 14 year old then tracked down the event organisers (who just so happened to be future BFF committee members) to thank each one personally for organising the ride. The committee has also had opportunity to meet Isaac’s parents and are inspired by their dedication and commitment to their family.

Quite simply: Isaac is a fantastic young man who, like Montanna, epitomizes the characteristics that underpin the essence of the Bear Foreman Foundation: ambition, commitment and passion. However, there is no value in talent and ambition without the right attitude and Isaac’s courteous, respectful and considerate character is certainly a great credit to him and to his family. The Bear Foreman Foundation is very proud to support such a great young man and looks forward to following and supporting him as he achieves his sporting dreams.
